About

Kootenai Health - Chemical Dependency is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility that is located at 2003 Kootenai Health Way in Coeur D Alene, Idaho. Treating substance abuse involves multiple stages of treatment through a recovery program such as that offered by Kootenai Health - Chemical Dependency. This can include group counseling, individual counseling, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, and medically assisted detox, among many others. Treatment programs are based on the individual themselves and are constructed to suit each patient individually. Just as every person is unique, so should treatment programs and that is exactly what patients will receive at Kootenai Health - Chemical Dependency.

If addicts do not obtain the right type of support and guidance, they may find treatment to be very difficult as the thought of sobriety can seem so far-fetched. At Kootenai Health - Chemical Dependency, professional counseling and guidance are provided to all patients aged 18+, giving them the strength needed in order to obtain a life that is free of drug and alcohol addiction. By altering the patient's outlook on life through addiction treatment, they will be able to stay positive throughout the duration of rehab.

The staff members at Kootenai Health - Chemical Dependency have a mission and that is to give patients effective and quality addiction treatment so that long-lasting sobriety can be obtained. The path to a positive future starts on a positive foot and that begins at Kootenai Health - Chemical Dependency. Confronting addiction is a difficult thing to do, but it is the most important step in the recovery process. Through professional counseling during the patient's time in treatment, patients will learn coping skills and trigger management which is imperative to the success of maintaining sobriety.

Maintaining sobriety on one's own is extremely difficult, especially when the addict has tried to go 'cold turkey' on their own. This is because it requires medically-assisted detox in order to properly and safely wean the body off of the substance of abuse. This way the body does not go through sudden withdrawal nor experience harsh side effects. Kootenai Health - Chemical Dependency can provide patients with all of the necessary tools, treatments, and resources so that patients have every opportunity to succeed in recovery.

This place will keep you safe, the staff is excellent and knowlagable. The facility's are "top notch" ,well, as top notch as they can be and be safe. There are three or four levels all furnished, the levels are for the safety of patients and staff. I have never met more caring dedicated nurses, a very special shout-out to all of them at KBH! They have trained therapists who teach a range of healthy coping strategies, they keep things pretty light most of the time taking time to really help those who struggle. There is outside time in a closed off court with basket ball and a garden. The doctors are skilled and generally have a good bed-side manor. Most bad reviews I have seen have been the result of stubborn behavior., thanks KBH! I appreciate all you do for me and many of other patients.

I was so beyond impressed with the level of service at Kootenai Outpatient Surgery. Every staff member was so kind, courteous and knowledgeable from check-in to O.R. to recovery! We were definitely nervous about surgery and they calmed our nerves and answered any questions that we had along the way. They actually made it a fun experience due to their heart for the patients! I would highly recommend this place to others!

My husband had cut 2 of his fingers with a table saw, and thankfully didn't lose any part of his fingers. We were blessed to be cared for by Ryan Wilson, PA who stitched up the fingers and Nurse Roy applied the bandages all while assuring us with engaging conversation. Ryan did such an expert job that the hand surgeon did not feel it necessary to restitch anything 2 days later. Everyone was sensitive to our needs and ministered to us with the greatest of care. We were in "good hands." Thank you, Kootenai Health ER Staff!

I was here for the birth of our baby girl, and all the staff were very genuinely caring. It was my first, and staff walked me through the whole thing and always reassured me, from the Midwife to the nurses to the anesthesiologist, to the lactation Consultants. They also allowed us a lot of privacy after baby was born, and helped keep the room clean. They were very friendly to family making sure they were okay as well. I will definitely be going there again for the next baby!

I was referred to the Hand Clinic by my physician because of a torn tendon in my right hand. They called and set up a consult the same day and I had surgery just a few days later. The quicker the better on these kind of injuries. Dr. Mullen and the rest of the staff are very professional but are also very friendly and a pleasure to be around. I really cannot say enough good about all of them. I have not previously had my hand operated on before however I have had another operation years ago for a different reason at a different facility and I feel that Dr. Mullen and the crew at the hand Clinic are probably the best of the best.

I found the ED very efficient and staff friendly. There was no waiting in a lobby with sick people. All staff introduced themselves and made me feel cared for and cared about. I was treated quickly and I was there about an hour and a half.

Fastest medical appointment ever consistently. Despite the 60 seconds total discomfort of the mammogram and having to go to a medical appointment in general, this is one visit to a health-care professional that I don't mind. They are very detailed oriented with checking your records with your name and identification. They provide lockers for belongings and even replacement deodorant for after your exam. The machine is fast and heated. The care givers are very attentive. The best part is they are on time always, and you are in and out of the building in 20 minutes or less. They have removed all excuses for getting a mammogram.

My dr is amazing and supported all my decisions along the way. My birth plan went way out the window and the Dr.s and nurses supported me all the way through my very long journey. The nursing staff was no short of fantastic. I don't know who my labor coach was beside me while I was pushing through, but she kept me going past what I thought I was capable of. Thank you to all the awesome staff at Kootenai Health!!!

Kootenai MRI, great! My MRI was very early in the morning and the ladies were very nice. I appreciate their help. Kootenai Urgent care, completely sucked. The doctor needs a new attitude, or should just retire. Total grump. The nurses were Very nice. It cost my insurance $500 for 5 lollipops, because all they was xray my knee and prescribe drugs I didn't need.

The staff at Kootenai Imaging was so kind and considerate. I found a lump and was expecting bad news. They understood my concerns and kept me calm. They went out of their way to make me feel as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend Kootenai Imaging for your next mamo.

Review is for my dad's recent ER visit. Dad suffers from moderate dementia. Dad was brought to ER for what appeared to be a coronary complication. Everyone responsible to caring for my dad during his 'visit/1 night stay' was remarkable in the manner that they provided care to my dad and information to me. Why did I not provide a 5 star rating. During dad's stay, he/I were asked the same health/personal history questions multiple times from different people responsible for different hospital/business actions. I did contact the hospital patient advocacy department to question. The response makes sense. Kootenai Health is made up of different businesses acquired or formed over time that operate on different computer platforms that do not always seamlessly communicate with each other. The good news is that Kootenai Health will be moving to one computer system in 2018. In the meantime, as long as the care level is as good as I have witnessed, I will need to be patient...no pun intended. BTW...dad did not have a coronary issue, he has a kidney stone that caused a radiating pain in the chest area. Thank God!

I recently had hip replacement. My stay was incredible considering the reason. My team of doctors, nurses, nurses aides and physical therapy was top notch. I feel very comfortable and confident to have my other hip done this fall!

I won't get into the specifics of our visit but I took my son to their emergency department and their entire team was incredible. We arrived in the early evening, which I expected to be very busy. They got us straight into a room and we were quickly swarmed by nurses and the doctor got right in to see us. My son was evaluated and treatment was started in a remarkably short period of time. Everyone was professional and competent. Overall, a great experience considering the circumstances. Do not hesitate to come here for emergency treatment.

It was a truly great experience. The ER Dr and staff were very responsive and professional. My Mother needed help getting into my car at Midnight and four staff members came out to help. They were amazing. Thank you so much.

65 years old, bald from chemo, obese, and redneck. Kootenai Health folks were that rare perfect mix of profession craftsmanship, engaging and jovial. They are the best. William Carroll, Priest Lake, Idaho. (And my neighbors experience is similar. Dr K. Miley has a place in our heart with all his crew.) God Bless em all.

Very good, nice people and reasonable quick service. The only draw back was having to drink two (2) 16 ounce barium drinks in about 40 minutes. Did not taste bad, just don't normally consume that much liquid that quickly.

Appointment kept on time, no time for that cup of coffee in the waiting area. Friendly and helpful admin. and nurses. Pleasant experience all around. Finished in record time. This has been my experience every time I use this facility.

I have continuous neurological health issues that are chronic. I have to go to Kootenai Health, and affiliated services, on a regular basis and they are almost always great. There have been a couple issues with a doctor and staff, but they are by far a rarity and that is going to happen with everything. When I told them about the less than stellar experiences they addressed. We have also been able to take advantage of their charity program to help pay for services and that was also a great experience. I am happy to have such a quality facility in our town.

From check in to the time I left everyone was friendly and helpful. It was my first time there since we haven't been here long. I was very impressed

I cannot say enough about the amazing staff at Kootenai. My husband had a routine knee surgery but then had some complications with his heart afterward. The level of care and professionalism was outstanding. From the minute we walked into the hospital with admissions to walking out the next day. Every single person we crossed paths with greeted us with a smile and a "how can I help you". We feel so blessed to have this level of care available to us here in North Idaho.

I was in the ER for the worst migraine I have ever had (I have had them since I was 2). The nurse and doctor were VERY friendly and compassionate and really cared about my pain. Our primary nurse I think her name was Jennie, was extremely nice and patient I am terrified of needles and have small veins. She was good with the IV and cared about me being scared. She was very gently and treated me with compassion. As bad as the experience was, it was made tolerable by this wonderful nurse. Thank you
